In the past decade, the worldwide adoption of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture started gaining popularity not only in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental health disorders, but also including health cultivations and lifestyle transformations. Many researches and clinical studies demonstrated the medicine’s efficacies and benefits, but this is only the tip of the iceberg. Many studies are needed to unfold the underling mechanisms behind Traditional Chinese Medicine and much more work are required to promote the medicine's applications benefiting Canada and around the world. Thus, in 2021, both Home of Canadian Traditional Chinese Medicine Society (HCTCMS, hctcms.ca) and the Canadian Community Service Association (CCSA, canada-ccsa.com) co-hosted the First World Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Week between July 24th to July 30th, 2021. With the aspiration to establish a platform, not only for TCM practitioners to exchange knowledge, but, more importantly, to share TCM perspective of healing and to bring a beacon of optimism to the World in the midst of COVID pandemic. The event was hosted mostly online, with more than 60+ TCM practitioners around the world participating in online presentations throughout the week.
