Dr. Ping Hou 侯平 教授
Prof. Hou is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner in Hong Kong. He completed his studies at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Guangzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in 1983. A fourth-generation inheritor of his family’s medical tradition, Professor Hou has practised Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong for 43 years. He currently serves as President and Professor of the Hong Kong New College of Chinese Medicine; President of the International Association of Medicinal Cuisine and Dietary Therapy; Vice President of the Specialty Committee of Medicinal Cuisine and Dietary Therapy of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies; Vice President of the Specialty Committee of Health Preservation of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies; and Vice President of the Specialty Committee of Manchu Medicine of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.
He is also an instructor for China’s nationally certified dietary therapy and health-preservation practitioner program. Professor Hou is a fifth-generation direct disciple of Qin’an Zheng and an overseas disciple of Bailing Liu, a National Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine from China.
