Accompanying the opening ceremony and the TCM exhibition market of 2026 6th World Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Week is the TCM Academic & Industrial Technical Symposium, an academic research and industrial collaboration platform, to bring together leading international and local experts to keynote the latest development in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The core theme of this symposium is "Dedication to the Traditional Art of Healing and Innovation Through Integration". The keynote program will feature a dedicated session on artificial intelligence, exploring the opportunities presented by AI-enabled intelligent diagnosis and treatment strategies as a new pathway for advancing acupuncture treatment.
Keynote: "Breakthroughs in Acupuncture Treatment Efficacy and Reproducibility in the AI Era: A Case Study of the UTCMH Acupuncture System"
The featured keynote presentation will introduce Prof. Li's pioneering work. For the first time, Prof. Rong Gang Li will unveil his innovation in integrating his independently developed UTCMH Acupuncture System with artificial intelligence. This integration aims to address a long-standing challenge in the field of acupuncture: the difficulty of reproducing treatment efficacy, which has traditionally depended heavily on the individual practitioner’s acupuncture skills and clinical experience. Through standardized diagnostic and treatment models, together with intelligent AI-assisted systems, Prof. Li will share his discoveries and demonstrate how this innovative approach can advance the future development of acupuncture.
The presentation will jointly presented by both Prof. Rong Gang Li and Ms. Yuning Zhu.
Prof. Rong Gang Li - Inventor of UTCMH Acupuncture System
Prof. Li is a disciple of Prof. Zhiming Liu, a National TCM Grandmaster of China. Drawing on 25 years of clinical practice, Prof. Li developed the concept of meridian circulation as the foundation for standardized acupuncture treatment.
His system establishes a solid framework for the reproducibility of acupuncture diagnosis and treatment through standardized, systematic acupuncture theory and operational protocols. It has been recognized in China as one of the World's Top Ten Innovative Acupuncture Systems.
Yuning Zhu - Design Director of Rongfei AI Technology Inc.
Ms. Zhu brings an interdisciplinary background from the University of Southern California and the Rhode Island School of Design. She is responsible for the mobile application development of the UTCMH Acupuncture AI platform, contributing to the transformation of traditional acupuncture methodology into digital and intelligent tools.
This presentation marks the first time in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture that acupuncture technique itself serves as the core focus of a systematic exploration into standardized and intelligent pathways for acupuncture diagnosis and treatment. It also represents a breakthrough practice in the deep integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, and artificial intelligence.
Other keynote speakers include:
Prof. Yang Qiuli Yang - Doctoral Supervisor
