The theme of this year’s World TCM & Acupuncture Week is “Medical Excellence and Dedication · Traditional Chinese Medicine Marketplace · AI-Empowered Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine · Building a Healthier Future Together.” This event aims to promote the medical ethics and professional principles embodied in the traditional ideal of *“the great physician’s skill and sincerity,”* while fulfilling the contemporary mission of preserving the essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine, upholding its foundational principles, and advancing innovation.
The event will bring together Traditional Chinese Medicine experts, practitioners, and enthusiasts from around the world, providing a platform for academic exchange and industry collaboration. It will also introduce the innovative concept of a **Traditional Chinese Medicine Marketplace**, offering the public a wide range of immersive cultural experiences and bringing Traditional Chinese Medicine into everyday life for the benefit of society.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture play an indispensable role in global healthcare, offering distinct advantages in preventive care, medical treatment, rehabilitation, health preservation, and wellness. A shared objective among contemporary TCM administrators, practitioners, overseas Chinese communities, and TCM supporters worldwide is to more fully realize the potential of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture for the benefit of people around the world. Equally important is the development of an international TCM and acupuncture healthcare service system that enables countries to pursue greater openness, exchange, integration, and innovation across broader fields, at higher levels, and in greater depth.
Promoting the culture of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture not only facilitates intercultural exchange and strengthens mutual understanding among different communities, but also carries the important responsibility of protecting public health worldwide and supporting healthcare, wellness, and healthy living.
The **Canadian Home of Traditional Chinese Medicine** and the **Canadian Traditional Chinese Medicine Development Alliance** have successfully organized five consecutive editions of the **World Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Culture Week**. Reaching both the international TCM community and the general public, the event has generated far-reaching influence, received widespread recognition, and earned strong acknowledgement and support from the Government of British Columbia.
The third, fourth, and fifth editions of the World Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Culture Week, held respectively in 2023, 2024, and 2025, were officially proclaimed by the Government of British Columbia as **“Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Week in British Columbia.”** This official recognition underscores the growing importance of Traditional Chinese Medicine within the international community.
