Dr. Wang is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner in Hong Kong. In 1969, he graduated from a five-year, junior college-level apprenticeship program in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Quanzhou, Fujian, China where he studied under Professor Zhihao Zhang. In 1980, he passed the national professional qualification assessment for senior technical titles in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was formally accredited as a TCM physician. In 1974, he was selected by his hospital to undertake advanced training in ultrasonography at the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University. He subsequently qualified as an ultrasound diagnostician and worked at Quanzhou Haibin Hospital as both a physician in the Department of Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a physician in the Ultrasound Department.

He relocated to Hong Kong in 1987 and continued practising Traditional Chinese Medicine. As the Hong Kong government had not yet formally recognized the legal status of TCM practitioners at that time, he enrolled at the University of Hong Kong and obtained a bachelor’s degree in General Chinese Medicine. He later completed a two-year postgraduate program in the foundational theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Since then, he has continued to practise Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong.

He currently serves as the resident TCM practitioner at the Wai Yuen Tong clinic in Ma On Shan, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. His clinical practice covers general Traditional Chinese Medicine and a broad range of common, frequently occurring, and complex conditions. These include severe colds and persistent coughs; respiratory disorders such as asthma, emphysema, silicosis, and chronic bronchitis; and chronic conditions commonly affecting older adults, including vertigo, bi syndrome, depressive disorders, stroke, insomnia, and diabetes.

His practice also encompasses gynecological conditions such as infertility and menstrual disorders, as well as prenatal and postpartum health management. In addition, he treats liver and gallbladder disorders, gastrointestinal diseases—including *Helicobacter pylori* infection—skin conditions, and other common internal and external medical disorders.

Since beginning clinical practice upon graduating in 1969, Mr. Wang has accumulated approximately fifty years of experience. Through treating a wide variety of complex and challenging conditions, he has developed extensive clinical expertise and considerable confidence in diagnosis and treatment. Although now over seventy years of age, he remains in good physical and mental health and hopes to continue serving the public for the remainder of his professional life.
