Professor Jin has worked in the field of educational technology for TCM at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine for more than forty years, accumulating extensive experience in the application of educational technology for TCM education. He has served as chief editor and producer of numerous publications, instructional films, and large-scale software systems documenting the knowledge and clinical experience of both past and present masters and distinguished practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Through this work, he has made substantial contributions to the preservation, advancement, and international dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine.
Of particular significance is the computer software system entitled *The Comprehensive Compendium of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Materia Medica, Acupuncture and Tuina*, a National Key Publishing Project under China’s 13th Five-Year Plan. Professor Jin organized a team comprising more than 400 renowned experts and professors in traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese materia medica, and acupuncture. Together with his own team, they devoted nearly thirty years to the development and completion of this comprehensive system.
The system is an invaluable educational and clinical resource for university students, licensed traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, acupuncturists, community-level practitioners of Chinese medicine, herbal medicine, acupuncture, tuina, and health preservation, as well as a professional reference for physicians.
* The complete curriculum taught at universities of traditional Chinese medicine;
* An intelligent diagnostic and treatment system based on disease differentiation;
* General-practice medical resources;
Approximately 50,000 classical prescriptions from successive periods of Chinese medical history;
Approximately 2.6 million prescriptions and clinical formulations contributed by renowned specialists across multiple disciplines;
An extensive collection of videos covering clinical diagnosis and treatment, acupuncture therapy, fundamental acupuncture techniques, tuina, and cupping;
Rare editions and classical texts from the historical literature of traditional Chinese medicine; and
A wide range of additional educational and clinical resources.
Over more than forty years, Professor Jin and his team have also preserved historical lecture recordings by many National Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine and nationally recognized senior TCM experts, organizing these materials into a comprehensive digital database.
The team is currently following the clinical work of nearly 100 National Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine and nationally recognized senior TCM practitioners. Their outpatient consultations are being fully recorded, while the associated clinical prescriptions are systematically整理ed and documented. By the end of this year, approximately 300,000 clinical-learning videos and related prescriptions are expected to be completed. These materials will preserve the masters’ invaluable diagnostic and therapeutic experience for future generations of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and scholars.
