Professor Feng is a highly accomplished expert in Chinese medicine and Integrative medicine. He holds multiple prominent roles at The University of Hong Kong, includes being the Director at the School of Chinese Medicine (2020-2026), and at HKUMed Centre of Integrative Medicine since 2025, as well as a Principal Scientist at HKU-Shenzhen Research Institute. Additionally, he is a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong and China, and serves as a Consultant Physician at The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital. His educational background includes Bachelor and Master degrees in Chinese Medicine in Mainland China, followed by visiting scientist, PhD and postdoctoral training in pharmacology and molecular medicine in Faculty of Pharmacy, Meijo University and Faculty of Medicine, Hokkaido University, Japan. He teaches courses on Chinese Materia Medica, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Internal Chinese Medicine, herbal medicine quality control, integrative medicine, and research methodology. Regarding research, Professor Feng focuses on clinical and experimental studies of herbal medicines using advanced techniques such as big data, AI, bioinformatics, OMICS technologies, network pharmacology, and evidence-based approaches. He has secured extensive funding, led international collaborations, and published over 700 papers, including more than 250 SCI articles in top-tier journals like Hepatology, Molecular Cancer, Science Advances, and Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy. His work is highly cited, and he has been recognized as a top scientist globally by Clarivate Analytics, Stanford University, and AD Scientific Index. He has supervised many students and scholars who have gone on to prominent academic positions. In addition to research, Professor Feng plays a significant role in professional and governmental committees related to Chinese medicine, contributing to policy, development, and international conferences. He has delivered over 200 keynote and invited speeches worldwide, served as an editor and reviewer for leading journals, and a chairman for international conferences, and was awarded the HKSAR Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service in 2024..
